‘Tis the season, as they say. Â As things start to slow down many of the local restaurant owners plan their vacations. Â That’s what’s happening at the end of this week. Â Boondocks restaurant out in shotgun will close this week for about a month “or so,” whatever that might mean. Â On the other end of the world’s longest main street, Island Park Lodge will close this weekend and re-open Memorial weekend.
So if you want to go to dinner when you’re up here, you’ve got “The Landings” at Macks Inn, Lakeside Lodge, Â Pond’s Lodge and The Pines at Phillips Lodge. Â You might catch Angler’s Lodge in Last Chance open from time to time if you’re tenacious enough. Â The bottom line is, there’s still plenty of food here. Â You’re just going to have to look a little harder to find it.
